ABOUT

Our mission is to help you care for Torch Lake and her watershed.

Our Story

Torch Conservation Center is a growing community of people who are committed to caring for the Torch Lake Watershed.

We love it all…

The farm fields and the orchards, the streams and the woodlands, and of course, the lake.

We enjoy it all…

Whether you’re hiking, biking, skiing, swimming, driving, kayaking or just lying in the hammock, we know the best way to enjoy this unique place is to get out in it!

We respect it all…

We all have a critical role to play in keeping the Torch Lake Watershed healthy, and we’re working to make that happen.

We’ll help you make a difference.

The Torch Conservation Center is a 501(c)3 non–profit organization, incorporated under the laws of the State of Michigan in 2013. All gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by state and federal laws. Our federal ID # is 46–2108391.

Mission

Torch Conservation Center’s mission is to empower people to care for Torch Lake and its watershed by teaching, connecting and conserving.

We reach out to visitors and landowners who’ve been touched by the spirit of the Torch Lake Watershed.

We share how to live a water-friendly lifestyle, whether you’re here for a day, a week, the summer or year round. By using the tools and tips found in TRUE BLUE Living,  you’ll protect the future — our common drinking water and the lake we all enjoy with our family and friends.

We work to conserve land, regardless of its size. As a local land conservancy focused on the Torch Lake Watershed, our team of experienced professionals will help landowners maintain the natural assets they treasure and protect the investment they’ve made in their land.
